Investigators that are supported under the Partnership Project Program or as a Collaborating Project are expected to adhere to Standards of Conduct, approved by the RBK Steering Committee (SC), and the participating Institutions are expected to sign-on to the Consortium’s Confidentiality and Nondisclosure Policy.
RBK Partnership Project Program (PPP)
Each year, this program invites investigators to submit applications that, if successful, will become part of the NIDDK (Re)Building a Kidney (RBK) Consortium (RFA-DK-14-010 & RFA-DK-14-009). Specifically, this Partnership Project Program aims to support the goals of the RBK Consortium through solicitation of additional projects in specific subject areas. Awardees of the Partnership Project Program become full participants of the RBK Consortium.

Collaborating Projects
The Rebuilding a Kidney (RBK) Consortium is augmented by Collaborating Projects, which include funded projects working in areas of high relevance to RBK. Principal Investigators (PIs) of such projects may apply for their project to become part of RBK.
The PIs of Collaborating Projects will be closely engaged with the activities of the consortium and will have the same responsibilities and access to data and results as other RBK PIs. Investigators that are supported under Collaborating Projects are expected to adhere to Standards of Conduct, approved by the RBK Steering Committee (SC), and the participating Institutions are expected to sign-on to the Consortium’s Confidentiality and Nondisclosure Policy. Applications will be considered by the RBK SC and decisions approved by the RBK External Expert Panel (EEP).
Eligible projects should be working in areas of relevance to the goals of RBK, have independent funding, and would be expected to send representatives to RBK’s bi-annual meetings.
Interested parties should fill out this form, which will submit the following information to Dr. Carl Kesselman, PI of the RBK Coordinating Center:
- Name(s), address(es), and telephone number(s) of the PD(s)/PI(s)
- Names of other key personnel
- Participating institution(s)
- Title of the funded research project
- Abstract of the funded research project
- Project period (i.e., project start and end dates documented in notice of grant award)
- Description of the project’s relevance to RBK (how the project would benefit from being part of RBK and how RBK would benefit from collaborating with the project)
